Our Story

About Us

Sam Clark founded and built Sam Clark Funeral Home in 1997 and he served and comforted families every day until his death on May 21, 2023. His legacy continues with the new leadership of Clark Funeral Home.

In 2020, Sam approached Andrew Keith about carrying his torch into the next generation once he was ready to retire.  Months after Sam's sudden passing in 2023, Sam's widow, Leslie Clark, brought Andrew on board as General Manager per Sam's wishes. A couple of months later Leslie knew in her heart that Andrew was ready to carry Sam's legacy onward and upward.  In November, Andrew and Georgina Keith became the new owners of Clark Funeral Home just as Sam had desired.  Andrew and Georgina will continue serving Hiram, Dallas, Paulding County and surrounding areas with Clark Funeral Home's name and quality service. Clark Funeral Home remains family owned and operated.

Andrew is a veteran funeral director who spent his early years with the Jones-Wynn family in Villa Rica and Douglasville and the majority of his career managing the Douglasville location for the Hightower family.  His service has touched countless lives in Paulding, Douglas, Carroll and Haralson counties for decades.

Andrew grew up in Villa Rica and graduated from Villa Rica High School in 1993. He studied Accounting at what was then West Georgia College. He married his lovely wife, Georgina, in October of 2000. Georgina is also a Carroll County native having grown up in the Jake Community.  She is a 1994 honor graduate and Valedictorian of Mt. Zion High School.  In 2006, Georgina was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and is unable to assist in the day-to-day functions of the funeral home; however, she tries to be there as often as possible to help Andrew and the team serve others.  Georgina loves to read, work on jigsaw puzzles and spend time with their fur babies.

Andrew is a 2000 honor graduate of Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service where he was a member of the Pi Sigma Eta National Honors Fraternity. Andrew is a Certified Funeral Service Practitioner (CFSP), a Certified Preplanning Consultant (CPC), a Certified Crematory Operator (CCO), a Georgia Licensed Insurance Agent, a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer in both Georgia and Alabama.

Following his mother's death at a young age, Andrew pursued the constant gentle tug that he considers to be his calling in life to serve as a funeral director and embalmer.  He wants to always be a willing vessel and allow God to use him in a mighty way in the ministry of funeral service.

Andrew's devotion, dedication and commitment to the families who call on him to serve has not wavered over the past quarter century.  Andrew said "I consider it an honor to continue my service to the fine folks of Paulding County and surrounding areas. I am not perfect, but I promise to remain focused on the love and care for those suffering a loss.  We as funeral directors only get one chance to get everything right for a family. There are no ‘do-overs’ in our industry. I instill this in all of my staff.”
