Susan "Susie" (Starnes) Newbold

Susan "Susie" Odette Newbold passed away on June 26, 2022. She was born on December 23, 1956 to the late Ray and Carolyn Starnes. Susie was a huge bingo fan and she enjoyed reading, making wreaths and flower arrangements. Most of all, she loved being around her family. She lead the children's ministry with her husband, Joe, and her kind spirit touched many lives. Susie was one-of-a-kind and had a heart of gold. She would do anything for anyone and many knew this. Susie was and will continue to be very loved and deeply missed.

Those that knew Mrs. Susan knew her favorite color was purple. Her family has requested that those attending her visitation and service would wear purple and flip-flops in honor of her.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Jeff Starnes. She is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Joseph "Joe" Newbold; her daughters, Susan "Jodi" (Brian) Newbold, Brandy Ranea Newbold; brothers, Ray Starnes Jr., Chris (Pam) Starnes, Denice (Ken) Hunt; sister-in-laws, Cherry (Randy) Watts and Nancy Starnes, brother-in-law, Mark (Wanda) Newbold; Aunt; Marie (Paul) Marino; mother-in-law, Doris Brown; grandchildren, Jesse Calhoun, Kreg Calhoun, Joseph Massey, Quentin Massey, Noah Ray, and several nieces and nephews.

The family will recieve friends at Clark Funeral Home on Thursday, June 30, 2022 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm. Funeral Services for Mrs. Newbold will be on Friday, July 1, 2022 at Clark Funeral Home Chapel at 1:00pm with Pastor Thomas Blagg officiating.

Following the service, the family has planned a Celebration of Life at White Oak Park from 5:00pm until 11:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Clark Funeral Home to help cover funeral expenses.
