Roy Johnston, age 78, of Dallas, GA, passed away on Monday, August 3, 2020. He was born on October 20, 1941 in Austell, GA, to his late parents; James and Myrtle Johnston. Roy was retired from JCPenny where he had worked as a forklift operator for many years and was a faithful member of Beaulahland Baptist Church. Mr. Johnston was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle and friend who will be missed by many. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ann Johnston, sisters; Betty Sue Estees, Louise Carroll, Pauline Jones and his brother, James Byran“J.B.” Johnston.

Mr. Johnston is survived by his son, Tim Johnston Sr. and his wife, Rita of Dallas, GA, daughter, Melinda Warner and her husband, Bill of Carrollton, sisters; Mary Stewart of Felton, GA, Patsy Rutland of Lenox, GA, grandchildren; Timothy Johnston Jr, Brittany (Matthew) Kiker, Ryan (Ashley) Warner, Brandon Warner, great grandchildren; Charlie Kiker, Isaac Kiker, Brayden Warner and several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service for Mr. Roy Johnston will be held on Friday, August 7, 2020 at 3:00 PM from the Clark Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Randy Clarke and Brother Tim Johnston officiating. Interment will follow the service at Beulahland Baptist Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers; Timothy Johnston, Matthew Kiker, David Hulsey, Bobby Wilkerson, Ricky Bradley and Alex Hall. Serving as honorary pallbearer will be, Charlie Kiker. The family will receive friends for a visitation at the funeral home on Friday, August 7, 2020 from 1:00 PM until the service begins at 3:00 PM. The family would like to extend their love and appreciation to everyone who will not be able to attend the service in person due to the states Covid-19 restrictions. (No more than 50 people inside the funeral home at one time) If attending the visitation or service, the staff of Clark Funeral Home highly recommends that a face mask be worn and that social distancing is practiced to help prevent the spreading of any possible illnesses and to help keep visitors, friends and family members of Mr. Johnston safe.
