Rosemary (Bivens) Butler

Rosemary Bivens Butler, 71, of Dallas, GA passed away on Friday, October 16, 2020.  She was born on May 18, 1949, in Dallas, GA.

Mrs. Butler was a member of Dallas First United Methodist Church. She was a lender for 40 years and worked for Lockheed Credit Union. A lifelong resident of Paulding County, Rosemary enjoyed traveling with the love of her life – her high school sweetheart and husband of 51 years – Keith Butler.

She was a loving mother of three and grandmother of two and was affectionately known as “Rosie.” She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and hosting family gatherings at her home. She was an avid reader and student of ancestry and family genealogy. Rosemary was a charter member of the Edwin Hagin Chapter of The Daughters of American Revolution. During her 40-plus years in banking, she developed many life-long relationships and loved her banking career.

Mrs. Butler is survived by her husband, Keith A. Butler; sons Bradley Keith Butler and Patrick Christian Butler both of Dallas, GA; a daughter, Alie Butler Voyles and her husband Jason, also of Dallas; two grandchildren Holland Keith Butler and Natalie Rose Voyles, both of Dallas, GA; two sisters Donnie Joan Bivens Champion of Cutler Bay, FL, and Cherry Bivens Waddell of Dallas, GA; two nieces, Gretchen Champion Curl of Cutler Bay, FL, and Wendy Waddell Howell of Dallas, GA; two nephews Jeffrey Jason Waddell and Scott Butler of Dallas, GA.

She was preceded in death by her parents Lawrence V. and Ione Bell Bivens and her grandparents Howard Vester and Cora Pauline Bivens and Earnest Coleman and Donnie Viola Holland Bell.

In accordance to Mrs. Butler’s wishes, her body was cremated. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations can be made to New Hope Cemetery Trust, LLC, PO Box 1094, Dallas, GA 30132.
