Richard “Joey” Johnston, age 59, of Dallas, GA passed away on Saturday, July 6, 2019. Mr. Johnston was born on January 31,1960 in Dallas, GA to James “Sam” and Betty Johnston. Joey was a wonderful husband, father and provider and loved his family and friends. He was a very hard worker and he loved the Lord. He will be missed by everyone. He worked as an Operator for Pike Electric for 25 years and was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his son; Jody Johnston, Father; James “Sam” Johnston, brothers; Danny Johnston, and James Johnston.

Survivors include his beloved wife of over 37 years, Charlene Johnston of Dallas, GA, brother-in-law; Charles and Lynnie Ledford of Dallas, GA, mother, Betty Inez Johnston, sisters-in-law; Darlene and Dwayne Priest of Dallas, Ga, Karen and Joe Addison of Dallas GA, brother; John and Dawn Johnston of Kennesaw, GA, sister; Patricia and Marvin Blackmon, and several nieces, nephews and many friends.

Funeral Services for Mr. Johnston will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2019 at 3:00 PM from the Clark Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Tibbitts and Rev. Harold Turner officiating. Pallbearers in attendance, Mike Johnston, Troy Waits, Dwayne Priest, Scott Johnston, Jon Johnston, Charles Ledford, and Matthew Arnold. Interment will follow the service at Melrose Hills Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, July 12, 2019 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
