Paul (Jr.) Thompson

Paul Thompson Jr. age 54, of Douglasville, GA, passed away on December 1, 2020. He was born on June 17, 1966 in Blakely, GA, to his late parents; Paul and Sandra Thompson and was raised in Decatur, TN. Paul worked in the commercial glazing industry for 33 years and was Lutheran by faith. Mr. Thompson loved his hot rod 67’ Camaro, his 57’ Chevrolet, which was his favorite and his Oakland Raiders team. Most importantly, Paul loved his kids and his family immensely. Mr. Thompson was a loving husband, father, brother and friend and who will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him.

Mr. Thompson is survived by his loving wife, Nancy Thompson of Douglasville, GA, sons; Cody Thompson of Rockmart, GA, Wyatt Thompson of Douglasville, GA, and brother, Mark Thompson of Hiram, GA and many special friends.

Graveside Services for Paul Thompson Jr. will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2020 at Sunrise Memorial Gardens Cemetery at 3:00 PM. Serving as pallbearers will be the following gentlemen; Cody Thompson, Wyatt Thompson, Mark Thompson, Wade Brown, Casey Miller, Scott Johnson, Jared Gunter and Jason Johnson. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, December 5, 2020 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM.

The family would like to extend their love and appreciation to everyone who will not be able to attend the service in person due to the states Covid-19 restrictions (no more than 50 people inside the funeral home at one time). If attending the visitation or service, the staff of Clark Funeral Home highly recommends that a face mask be worn and that social distancing is practiced to help prevent the spreading of any possible illnesses and to help keep visitors, friends and family members of Mr. Thompson safe.
