Merl Frank Jordan

Merl Frank Jordan, age 80, went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 3, 2021. Mr. Jordan was born on June 5, 1940 to his late parents, Marcius Powers and Edith Lawson Jordan. Merl was known to enjoy the outdoors and fishing. He was a member of Dallas First Assembly and worked at Lockheed Martin as flight line mechanic for more than 36 years. Mr. Jordan was in the Airforce for 4 years. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Marcius Jordan II and sister, Martha Renwick.

Merl is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Linda W. Jordan of Dallas, GA; daughter, Amy Jordan of Dallas, GA; son, Travis (Liz) Jordan of Marietta, GA; grandson, Jordan (Hali) Slater of Whitesburg, GA; granddaughters, Natasha Slater of Clarksville, TN and Blakeney Jordan of Marietta, GA; great-grandson, Leo Slater; sister, Mary Jordan of Erie, Pennsylvania.

Funeral Services for Mr. Jordan will be held at Dallas First Assembly on Friday May 7, 2021 at 2:00 PM with interment to follow at High Shoals Baptist Church Cemetery. Pastor Jeremy Williams and Pastor Rob Boyd will be officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at Clark Funeral Home from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

The family would like to extend their love and appreciation to everyone who may be unable to attend the service in person due to the states Covid-19 concerns or state restrictions (no more than 50 people inside the funeral home at one time). If attending the visitation or service, the family and the staff of Clark Funeral Home highly recommends that a face mask be worn and that social distancing be practiced to help prevent the spreading of any possible illnesses and to help keep visitors, friends and family members of Mr. Jordan safe.
