Martha Jane McDonald

Martha Jane McDonald passed away October 8, 2021 at the age of 71. Mrs. McDonald was born June 9, 1950 in Dallas, GA. She served for 20 years as a lunch room attendant at Paulding County High School. Mrs. McDonald dedicated her life to her family. She was a fabulous cook and it wasn't uncommon for her to make her son a meal at 3:00 in the morning when he'd come home from work, or take care of her daughter's laundry. She was selfless and her love could always be seen in the care she provided to those around her. She touched many lives and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Mrs. McDonald is preceded in death by her husband, James Oliver McDonald; daughter, Marie Buchanan; parents, Lewis Jackson Brown, Sara Betty Brown Capes and Jack Capes; sisters, Shirley Clay, and Bonnie Brown; and brother, Buck Brown. She is survived by her son, Mac McDonald of Dallas, GA; daughters JoAnn Lindley of Dallas, GA, and Connie Williams of Flagler Beach, FL; brothers, Wayne (Donna) Brown, David Marion Brown, and Edward Brown; and grandchildren, Nichole Buchanan, Nicholas Buchanan, Tyler Black, Von Lindley, Eli Searey, Ivy McDonald, Lily McDonald, Emily McDonald, and Gage McDonald.

Services will be held Thursday, October 14, 2021 at Clark Funeral Home, 4373 Atlanta Highway, Hiram, GA 30141, at 3:00pm with Brother Thomas Blagg officiating. Interment will follow at Peaceful Meadows Cemetery, 86 Hart Road, Dallas, GA 30157. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at Clark Funeral Home from 5:00pm - 8:00pm.
