Madge Pace Robinson

January 28, 1942 — October 14, 2020

Mrs. Madge Pace Robinson, age 78, was welcomed into the arms of her Lord and Savior on October 14, 2020, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Paulding County, the seventh of nine children, to her loving parents; Lonnie Lee and Ruby Lamar Edwards Pace on January 28, 1942.


Madge was a faithful member of New Georgia Baptist Church, where she attended the Victory Sunday School Class, sang in the Adult Choir, and participated in visiting the Home bound Members. She was also very active in the monthly "Hobo Supper" and was charged with finding various groups to sing for them. She loved to sing and sang her very first solo at New Georgia Baptist Church at the tender age of 4. Her love for music only grew as she came into adulthood, singing with her brother and sister in the Pace Trio and with other groups before she married Jerry in 1970.


Madge is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Iris Rebekah and John Allen Kent, adopted son, Matthew Lee Robinson, grandchildren; John-Wesley Allen Kent, James-Riley Robinson Kent, Destiny Leanne Robinson, Matthew Lee Robinson, Jr., great-grandson, Landon James Robinson. She is also survived by her sister, Ruth Pace Williams, brother, Robert Max Pace, sisters-in-law, Jane Wynn Robinson and Doris Osborne Robinson, special friends; Jason and April Stover, and a host of nieces and nephews.


She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jerry Alonzo Robinson, whom she married on August 23, 1970, their infant daughter, Kristina Rose Robinson, her parents, Lonnie Lee and Ruby Lamar Edwards Pace, brothers; Loyd Hughland Pace, Lamar Anderson Pace, Paul Edward Pace, Lonnie Lee Pace, Jr., Fred Everett Pace and Theodore David Pace, Sr.


Funeral Services for Mrs. Robinson will be held on Sunday, October 18, 2020 at New Georgia Baptist Church Sanctuary at 4:00 PM with pastor, Dr. Keith Stell and Pastor Emeritus, and Dr. James Burdette officiating. A eulogy will be given by Mr. Charlie Grinstead and special memories recalled by her brother, Mr. Robert Max Pace. Special music will be provided by Mr. Tony Harris. The family will receive friends at the church on Sunday, October 18, 2020 from 2:00 PM until the service begins at 4:00 PM.


Graveside Services will be held at Peaceful Meadows Memorial Cemetery with Tim Williams officiating and special music provided by the Williams family. Serving as pallbearers will be the following gentlemen; John Wesley Allen Kent, James- Riley Robinson Kent, bob Johnston, Jr., Josh McBrayer, Danny Streetman and Jason Stover. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be; Talmadge McBrayer, Ken Williams, Joe Williams, Kevin Pace, Wendell Hill, Tony Pace, John Shrewsbury, Barry Mills, Michael Shellnutt, Tony Mote, Randy Pullen, Tim Williams, Terry Pace, Kendall Pace, Rex Pace, David Pace, Jr., Brian Grinstead, Ken Cooper, Lewis Young and Wesley Cash.


In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully asks that donations be made to the building fund at New Georgia Baptist Church in loving memory of Mrs. Robinson. Donations may be sent to:
