Linda R. Strickland

Linda R. Strickland, 84, of Dallas, GA passed away on November 28, 2021. She was born on August 12, 1937 in Dallas, GA to the late Virgil and Kate Rakestraw. She was Valedictorian of the class of '55 at Hiram High School and loved her church, Poplar Springs Baptist. Linda was best known for being a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Russell Strickland, her son; Russ (Amanda) Strickland Jr., daughters; Cindy L. Clark (Dickie) and Allison Strickland, grandchildren; Amy L. Johnston, John Leggett, Corey Leggett, great grandchildren; Harrison East, Jacob East, Peyton East, Maggie Johnston, Jax Leggett, Cash Leggett, Cruz Leggett, Sadie Leggett, Max Leggett, and Jude Leggett.
Mrs. Strickland is predeceased by her siblings, Donald Rakestraw, Mary Shipp, Wilbur Rakestraw, Betty Aiken, Bernarr Rakestraw, and Harlow Otwell.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Thursday, December 2, 2021 from 10:00a.m to 12:00p.m. A funeral service will immediately follow at 12:00p.m. with Pastor Wayne Meadows officiating. Interment will follow at Dallas Memory Gardens.
