Laurel Jean Royal, age 82, of Dallas, GA. went to her heavenly home on February 7, 2021 at Aspen Village in Dallas, GA. Mrs. Royal was born on January 20, 1939 to her late parents; Edward and Emogene Danner. Laurel was a home maker and loved doing crafts, listening to music, quietly reading. She was a member of East Hiram Baptist Church. Laurel was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, great great-grandmother, and friend who will be missed dearly by those who loved and knew her. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband; James Alfred Royal, daughter; Carmen Rochelle Wright, son; Gailyn Eugene Wright, sisters; Dorothy West, Sharon Walters, Beverly Coy; brothers; Edward Danner, James Danner, Kenneth Danner, Hugh Danner.

Mrs. Royal is survived by her daughters; Carla Peppers of Topeka, KS., Karen (Nathaniel) Wright of Lompo, CA., Kimberly (Charlie) Jackson of Dallas, TX., son; Keith Royal of Las Vegas, NV., sisters; Marion Williams of Jefferson City, MO., Emogene Finch of Omaha, NB, along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great great-grandchildren and a host nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Royal will be held on Saturday February 13, 2021 at Clark Funeral Home at 10:00 AM with Pastor Rickey Bice, Brother Chris McCroy, and Brother Bobby Wilkerson officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Harmony Memorial Gardens in Mableton, GA. The family will receive friends on Friday, February 12, 2021 from 5:00 until 8:00 PM at Clark Funeral Home. The service will be live streamed from our Facebook page.

If attending the visitation or service, the staff of Clark Funeral Home highly recommends that a face mask be worn, and that social distancing is practiced to help prevent the spreading of any possible illnesses and to help keep visitors, friends and family members of Mrs. Royal safe.  The family would like to extend their love and appreciation to everyone who may be unable to attend the service in person due to the states Covid-19 restrictions (no more than 50 people inside the funeral home at one time).
