John Canton Minielly

John Canton Minielly passed away on May 30, 2022. He was born on November 12, 1933 to the late George and Mary Minielly. John worked at Lockheed for 40 years as a Flight Line Mechanic and he was very dedicated to his work. He was a faithful member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church alongside his wife, Martha. John married his sweetheart in 1956 and together they raised three children. Family was very important to John and he cherished his time with them. John was a wonderful husband, father, brother, grandfather, and great-grandfather who will be very missed.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, George Minielly; sister, Mary Ruth Hall; and son-in-law, William J. Dowling. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Martha Minielly; son Jim (Kathleen) Minielly; daughters, Rhonda Dowling, Frances Minielly; grandchildren, Kristy Davis, Lindsay Minielly; great-grandchildren, Jack Hixon; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm. Funeral Services for Mr. Minielly will be held at Clark Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, June 2, 2022 beginning at 11:00am. Interment will follow at Floral Hills Memory Gardens with Jim Minielly, James Hammond, Zack Minelly, Garith Cross, Henry Hall, Evan Jones, and Scott Lukafsky serving as pallbearers.
