John H Cochran

April 18, 1943 — January 6, 2021

John Henry Cochran, age 77, passed away Jan 6, 2021 at his residence in Dallas, Ga. He was born on April 18, 1943 to his parents, Mary Frances Cochran, and the late Harbin Cochran. Mr. Cochran was the Past Master of the Dallas Masonic Lodge 182 and William G. England Lodge 747. He spent a career in the construction and home building industry and retired from the Paulding County Board of Education. He enjoyed traveling and fishing with friends in Suwanee, FL. He was a member of Narroway Baptist Church and graduated from Dallas High School. John was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend who will be missed by all who loved him. In addition to his father, Mr. Cochran is preceded in death by his brother; Malcom Cochran.

Mr. Cochran is survived by his mother; Mary Frances Cochran, wife; Mary Anna Cochran, sons; Chris (Gena) Cochran of Powder Springs, GA, Cooper (Deanne) Cochran of Dallas, GA, grandchildren; Anna Cochran, Cate Cochran, Camille Cochran, Christopher Cochran, Brother; Howell (Doc) Cochran, Sisters; Jackie (Bobby) Hopper, Sylvia Smith, Jill Cole, along with a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Mr. Cochran will be Sunday, January 10, 2021 at 1:30 PM graveside with a time of visitation prior from 11:30am-12:45pm at the Clark Funeral Home, with Rev. Todd Tibbitts and Mr. Eddie Gurley officiating. Interment will follow at Dallas Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 9, 2021 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Clark Funeral Home.

If attending the visitation or service, the staff of Clark Funeral Home highly recommends that a face mask be worn, and that social distancing is practiced to help prevent the spreading of any possible illnesses and to help keep visitors, friends and family members of Mr. Cochran safe. The family would like to extend their love and appreciation to everyone who may be unable to attend the service in person due to the states Covid-19 restrictions (no more than 50 people inside the funeral home at one time).
