James Allen Mitchell

James Allen Mitchell, age 68, of Dallas ,GA, passed away on Thursday, November 26, 2020 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on October 19, 1952 in Loudon, TN to his late parents; Ed and Edna Mitchell. James worked as a custodial supervisor for Cobb County School Board for 36 years and was Baptist by faith. Mr. Mitchell bravely served in the United States Marine Corp. James was a loving father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Donny Mitchell.

Mr. Mitchell is survived by his sons; Jeremy Mitchell of Dallas, GA, Andrew Mitchell and his wife, Helen of Temple, GA, Tyler Lovelace and Jennifer of Douglasville, GA, daughter, Sonya Ames of Rockmart, GA, brothers; Dennis Mitchell and his wife, Karen of Rockmart, GA, Clayton Mitchell and his wife, JoAnne of Temple, GA, Terry Mitchell of  Goodfield, IL, grandchildren; Alicia Mitchell, Dillon Cooper, Cameron Cooper, Brent Cooper and Taiden Boylston, 4 nieces and 2 nephews.

A Funeral Service for Mr. Mitchell will be held on Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at Clark Funeral Home at 3:00 PM with Rev. Don Rackley officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 2, 2020 from 12:00 PM until the service begins at 3:00 PM. A private interment will be held on Monday, December 7, 2020 at Georgia National Cemetery.

The family would like to extend their love and appreciation to everyone who will not be able to attend the service in person due to the states Covid-19 restrictions (no more than 50 people inside the funeral home at one time). If attending the visitation or service, the staff of Clark Funeral Home highly recommends that a face mask be worn and that social distancing is practiced to help prevent the spreading of any possible illnesses and to help keep visitors, friends and family members of Mr. Mitchell safe.
