Gene Pittman

July 15, 1935 — February 14, 2021

Luther Eugene (Gene) Pittman, age 85, of Hiram, GA. passed away on Sunday, February 14, 2021. He was born on July 15, 1935 to his late parents; Luther and Ruth Stanley Pittman. Luther enjoyed gardening and especially planting tomatoes. He worked as a mechanic at City of Marietta for more than 10 years and was known as a man who wore many hats. Mr. Pittman was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife; Margie D. Clark Pittman, daughter; Patricia Turner, sisters; Modean Lewis, Louise Curtis, Betty Williams, Dorothy Pittman Woodberry, and brothers; William Pittman, Hollis Pittman.

Mr. Pittman is survived by his daughters; Becky Pittman of Dallas, GA. and Theresa Young of Dallas, GA., son; George (Sandra) Pittman of Temple, GA., 8 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren.

Graveside Services for Mr. Pittman will be on Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at Crossroads Baptist Church Cemetery at 3:00 PM with Rev.  Alton Williams officiating. The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 17, 2021 from 1:00 until 2:30 PM.

If attending the visitation or service, the staff of Clark Funeral Home highly recommends that a face mask be worn, and that social distancing is practiced to help prevent the spreading of any possible illnesses and to help keep visitors, friends and family members of Mr. Pittman safe.  The family would like to extend their love and appreciation to everyone who may be unable to attend the service in person due to the states Covid-19 restrictions (no more than 50 people inside the funeral home at one time).
