Frederick Donald (Powers) Powers

Frederick "Fred" Donald Powers passed away October 7, 2021 at the age of 85. Fred was born March 4, 1936 to the late Emory and Carrie Powers in Franklin, GA. He loved to fish, enjoyed the Bulldogs and the Falcons, loved church and playing guitar, and he loved to watch his westerns on TV! Fred also enjoyed flying model airplanes. Fred will be missed terribly by all who loved and knew him.

Fred is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Lou Powers; daughter, Angela Darlene Powers; and parents, Emory and Carrie Powers. He is survived by his son, Donald Powers; daughters, Denise (Ray) Bowlin and Deborah (Ken) Mullins; grandchildren, Jonathan Gresham, Kathryn Gresham, Blane Mullins, Christopher Mullins, Carissa Pickel, Jeremy Hicks, Stephanie Tucker, Jonathan Hicks and Heather Fore; as well as 20 great grandchildren.

Per the family's wishes, Fred will be cremated, and a service will be held on October 16, 2021 at Riverside Church of God, Powder Springs, GA 30127 at 1:00pm. The family will receive friends preceding the service at 12:00pm.
