Edith Marilyn (Tate) Watts

Edith Marilyn Watts passed away on July 30, 2022. She was born on April 20, 1951 in Dallas, Georgia to the late Clarence and Earline Tate. Edith retired from the Paulding Juvenile Detention Center where she was the manager. She was funny, full of life, and exceptionally vibrant. Edith was kind to everyone she met and she had a heart of gold. She was the best wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and friend who will be greatly missed.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Jerry Tate. She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Wendell "Frank" Watts of Dallas, Georgia; her sons, Wendell Frank Watts Jr. of Dallas, Georgia and Chase (Tasha) Proctor of Panama City Beach, Florida; sisters, Betty Wilson of Buford, Georgia, Shannon Tate of Rockmart, Georgia; sister-in-law, Patricia Dobbs of Atlanta, Georgia, Teresa Watts Staples of Dallas, Georgia, Pearlie Mae Watts of Dallas, Georgia; nephew, Al Watts of Rockmart, Georgia; Auntie, Faye Mayfield of Rockmart, Georgia; grandchildren, Cayley Proctor, Lydia Proctor, Trevor Godfrey, and Lindsay Pickerell.

A Memorial Service for Mrs. Watts will be held at Clark Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, August 13, 2022 at 3:00pm with Pastor Earnest Balding officiating.
