Cowan and Associates, passed away on July 18, 2021 at the age of 70 years old the presence of loved ones. Evidence of his life‘s work as a Civil and Structural engineer can be seen state wide and abroad in many building designs. Ray Cowan earned his Bachelors of Architectural Engineering in 1972 at Southern Polytechnical University and became a hell of an engineer in 1977 with a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Georgia Tech. Along with his wife Faye Cowan, they built a lasting foundation through his daughters, Rebecca (James)Story, Elizabeth (John) Minnis, and Anna Cowan. He is also survived by Mac Beeman and his brothers, Rick (Linda) Cowan, Weyman (Darlene) Cowan and Wayne (Jo) Cowan, and their families.

His guiding life’s verses are from the writings of Paul in the book of Matthew chapter 7

24 “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice(X)is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. 26 But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. 27 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.”
