Danielle "Dani" Renee Carteaux

October 22, 1988 — May 23, 2020

Danielle “Dani” Renee Carteaux, age 31, of Villa Rica, GA, passed away on Saturday, May 23, 2020. She was born on October 22, 1988 in Dayton, OH, to her parents; Mark Carteaux and April Lynn Meeks. Dani was a manager for Ardens Garden in Douglasville for several years. Ms. Carteaux was a loving and cherished mother, girlfriend, daughter, sister granddaughter, aunt and friend who will be missed immensely by her loving family and friends. Dani's beloved boyfriend, Patrick McCloud Jr. passed away by her side.

Ever since the day Danielle was born, she lit up a room. She always brought undeniable happiness to everyone who met her. She always helped mom with us kids. Danielle always was a great friend. A strong & Direct person, real, bold, driven, hardworking, fit logical & exceedingly honest because she cared. A true boss lady that worked her butt off. I always admired her ability to stay calm & get things done. She was always talking to us about how she could improve, and that encouraged us to push our limits.

A life taken at such a young age and in such a tragic way. We wonder how we will go on without her and all her unique ways and why she was taken so soon. For some reason it was her time and we will never understand why. She was such an inspiration to so many. She never met a stranger. So many hearts were touched. By her and her smile. Life will be so different.

Danielle always took care of us. She tried to make dinners that were in the end burnt or just tasted bad. We were always welcomed to hang out at her house. She always made sure we were okay and did everything she could and go over the top. Danielle always had a smile on her face and made everyone else smile. She touched so many people from 7th grade to the day she passed. If we were having a bad time she leaves us notes or call to talk for hours. Just to make sure we were good. Danielle will always be in our hearts and around us.

Starting at a young age Danielle was amazing. She always has had an amazing personality that could impact anyone she came across. Strangers would turn into friends and aspirations would turn into present life for her. She was an amazing student and so so incredibly smart. She lived her life to the fullest and never took a moment for granted. She loved Kallan to an incredible amount. He was everything to her. Dani did whatever she could for him she was organized and would spend every ounce of her being fighting and loving on that baby. She is just such a bright and amazing soul. Any obstacle she came across she fought and fought to get better or make herself a better person and mother. She never ever gave up. Losing her was a tragedy but she will always always be loved and I know she always loves us and is definitely haunting and watching over us.

Survivors include her son, Kallan Lief McCloud of Villa Rica, GA,  mother, April Lynn Meeks and her husband, Robbie of Villa Rica, GA, father, Mark Carteaux of Bellbrook, OH, step father who raised her, Robert Smith of PA, brother, Brandon Carteaux of Dayton, OH, sisters; Jordan Carteaux and her fiancé, Dylan McFalls of Douglasville, GA, Kayla Fritts and her husband, Taylor of Hiram, GA, Taylor Smith of Villa, Rica, GA, grandmother, Norma Faye Duckson of Dayton, OH, nieces and nephews; Aleksey Khomyakov, Lily Scott, Wyatt McFalls, Emmie Belle Fritts, Maddie Kate Fritts, and Ellie Carteaux.
