Carla Beth Knight

April 23, 1953 — February 26, 2021

Carla Beth Knight passed away on February 26, 2021. She was born on April 23, 1953 to her late parents, Robert and Reynolds Taylor. Carla was a teacher with the Cobb County School system for over 30 years and was a faithful member of Four Points Church. However, her greatest accomplishment was when she earned the title “Mimi”. She loved her family, Jesus, animals, especially cats, and cooking, she even earned the title of “cupcake lady”. The sweets weren’t just for others though, you could always find her drinking a coke and eating something sweet, especially when she was watching her favorite teams play; the University of GA Bulldogs or The Atlanta Braves.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her aunt and uncle, Carl, and Bethel Ragland.

Carla was a loving Mimi, wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend who will be greatly missed by many. Mrs. Knight is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Raymond Knight, children; Janet Stover, Clark Knight, Karen Carter and her husband Ryan, brothers; CJ Taylor and his wife Sharon, Bobby Taylor and his wife Gretchen, grandchildren; Daniel Knight, Jacob Stover, Jenny Knight, Emily Knight, Megan Stover, Hannah Carter, Halle Carter, and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and students.

Funeral Services for Carla will be Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Clark Funeral Home Chapel with Brent Stephens officiating. Interment will follow at Peaceful Meadows. The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 2 from 5:00- 7:00 PM. The family would like guests who plan to attend the visitation or service, to wear pink in honor of Carla, as it was her favorite color.

If attending the visitation or service, the staff of Clark Funeral Home highly recommends that a face mask be worn, and that social distancing is practiced to help prevent the spreading of any possible illnesses and to help keep visitors, friends and family members of Mrs. Knight safe.  The family would like to extend their love and appreciation to everyone who may be unable to attend the service in person due to the states Covid-19 restrictions (no more than 50 people inside the funeral home at one time).

Clark Funeral Home in Hiram, GA, is honored to care for the family during this difficult time.

Condolences may be left for the family on our website, www.samclarkfuneralhome.com under the Tribute Wall tab.
