Bill Huber

October 17, 1954 — August 5, 2025

Mr. William "Bill" Huber, age 70, of Dallas, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 5, 2025. He was born on October 17, 1954, in St. Louis, Missouri, the son of the late Frank Huber and the late Marcella Gillering Huber.

Bill was a born fixer-someone who could repair just about anything, and always in the most economical way, taking pride in doing it right without wasting a dime. He began his career working in HVAC and maintenance in St. Louis, where he built a reputation for being skilled, dependable, and always willing to lend a hand. After moving to Georgia in 2004, he joined Ridgeview Institute of Smyrna, where he quickly became everyone's favorite "fix it" facilities manager. His hard work, humble nature, and dedication made him a beloved part of the Ridgeview family.

Raised in the Catholic faith, Bill lived his life as a devoted Christian, guided by humility, kindness, and love for others. He treasured life's simple joys-fishing, a boat ride on the lake, country music playing in the background, and an ice-cold beer in hand. He stayed busy keeping up with Alex's schedule of fast food adventures, and going bowling-aka "Boys Night Out"-on Thursdays was a highlight of the week.

Bill was an adored grandfather and loved spending quality time with his grandchildren-swimming, fishing, mowing grass, cheering them on, or teaching them all the important things in life. He rarely missed a phone call to his son Mike as he drove home from work, and he was always the first to help his daughter Angie wash dishes after a family dinner. He always stayed in touch with family and friends, making time each day for dedicated phone calls that kept those bonds strong.

And let's not forget the beautiful love story that Bill and Jo Ann shared. If you ever wanted to see what true love is, all you had to do was witness the way he cared for Jo Ann and for all of his family. Whether on the water, at the lanes, or gathered at home, Bill's happiest moments were always about connection, laughter, and love.

He is survived by his devoted wife of nearly 40 years, Jo Ann LaScala Huber, whom he married on November 21, 1985, in Missouri; daughter, Angie (Rodney) McCanham; two sons, Michael (Kelsey) Huber and Alex Huber; five grandchildren, Drake, Luke, Sophie, Julian, and Isabella; two sisters, Lois Torlina and Diane Laur; his brother, Richard Huber; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will miss him dearly.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. in the Sam Clark Chapel. The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home prior to the service, from 12:00 noon until the memorial hour.

With the honor of serving as pallbearers are Michael Huber, Rusty Hoffmann, Art Stovall, and Rodney McCanham.

Clark Funeral Home is honored to care for the family of William "Mr. Bill" Huber.
