Wendell "Went" Wylie

Mr. Wendell "Went" Wylie, age 87 of Dallas, Georgia, passed away Thursday, November 13, 2025. He was born May 26, 1938 in Riverdale, Georgia.

He was a member of Sweet Home Baptist Church and retired from the Paulding County Department of Transportation with 27 years of service. Wendell adored his wife, Georgia, and took immense pride in his children and grandchildren whom he loved dearly. He cherished the moments he spent hunting and traveling, filling his days with cherished memories. Wendell was known for his love of watching westerns and enjoyed eating Church's Fried Chicken.

Survivors include his wife, Georgia Rosier Wylie, to whom he was married July 7, 1992; four daughters, Gladys Rockmore, Lorraine Blanding, Lavonne McGarity and Evon McGarity; five sons, Michael Wylie, Eddie Wylie, Ronnie Wylie, Michael Wylie and Tykean Rosier; sister, Tommie Tuggle; oldest granddaughter, Tkeisha Lindley and grandson-in-law, Bryant Cooper; a host of other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A memorial service for Mr. Wylie will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at 12 noon in the Sam Clark Chapel.
