Wendell Reo Clouse

July 20, 1938 — August 23, 2026

Wendell Reo Clouse, a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, of Dallas, Georgia, passed away on August 23, 2026, at the age of 88. Born on July 20, 1938, in Knoxville, TN, to the late William and Mollie Clouse, Wendell lived a full and purposeful life, leaving behind a legacy of love, hard work, curiosity, and devotion to those he loved.

Wendell was an accomplished engineer who spent much of his 40-plus-year career at NOAA, contributing his expertise to government projects that made a lasting, positive impact. He was also a proud veteran of the Air Force, carrying a lifelong sense of duty and service.

Wendell had a passion for all things electronic and tech-related. He found joy in dancing, traveling, and spending time by the water - whether boating, fishing, or relaxing on the beach near his condo in Cape Canaveral, FL. Known to many as a "ham" operator, Wendell's enthusiasm for life and technology was infectious.

In addition to his parents, Wendell was preceded in death by his brother, Ronnie Clouse.

He leaves behind his treasured family: daughters Toni Clouse and Tammy (Wes) McKinnon; son Tim (Veronica) Clouse; Mary Cagley, who helped care for him over the past five years; grandchildren Shane (Connie) Raines, Robert (Morgan) Raines, Brandon (Kristin) Moore, and Carleigh McKinnon; and great-grandchildren Dylan Raines, Jillian Raines, Gavin Raines, Ava Raines, Branson Moore, Noah Moore, Scott Moore, Blandon Moore, and Piper Moore.

The family will receive guests at Clark Funeral Home in Hiram, Georgia, on Thursday, August 27, 2026, from 6:00-8:00 PM. A graveside service and burial will follow on Friday, August 28, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Kennesaw Memorial Park in Marietta, GA, with Rev. Don Rackley officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Wes McKinnon, Shane Raines, Robert Raines, Brandon Moore, Dylan Raines, and Gavin Raines.

Wendell lived a life rich with love, joy, and adventure, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
