Verna Marie Jones, age 80, of Dallas, GA, passed away on Monday, January 7, 2019. She was born on May 17, 1938, in Chester, Arkansas, to the late John & Florence Cochran, and was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Jones. She was a member of Cochran Ridge Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Diane (Ricky) Smith of Dallas, GA; grandchildren, Scott Smith, Heather Smith, Ashley Smith; great-grandchildren, Katie Smith, Aiden Smith and Piper Smith.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 9, 2019, at 2 PM, from Clark Funeral Home, with Brother Matthew Beasley officiating. Interment will follow the service in Cochran Ridge Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 8, 2019, from 4 PM until 8 PM.
