Tommie V. Brooks, age 80, of Douglasville, passed away Sunday, August 31, 2025. A Georgia native, Tommie was born in Marietta and was the daughter of the late Thomas and Madge Vaden. Before retiring, Tommie was a secretary with Murata Electronics in Smyrna, GA. Tommie was a Deputy with the Paulding County Sheriff's Office until 1992. Tommie drove a bus for the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, shuttling visitors from different venues in the downtown Atlanta area. Tommie was an avid reader and dearly loved her daughter's boxer, Dunkin.
Those who survive Tommie are her daughters, Tracy A. Brooks of Douglasville, Kimberly Cadwell and her husband, Ryan of Hiram, and Jamie Butler and her husband, Joe of Douglasville. Tommie is survived by her granddaughters, Brianna Hope Kalb, Morgan Grace Butler, and Madison Faith Butler; and grandsons, Lee Edward Butler and Noah James Butler. Also surviving is her sister, Mary Charles Moore of Bryan, TX.
