Timothy Leroy Atcheson Sr., age 68, of Dallas, Georgia, passed away peacefully on June 12, 2025. He was born on February 21, 1957 in Dallas, Georgia, the son of Mary Alice Holland Atcheson and the late Leroy Atcheson. Tim was known as a dedicated family man and a hardworking individual who left a lasting impact on all who knew him.Tim retired from Paulding County Government, where he served many years as the Manager of Fleet Maintenance. He was admired for his incredible ability to fix anything, earning him the affectionate nickname "The Professor" from his family. Tim had a passion for restoring classic automobiles, and he took great pride in his own truck restoration. He found joy in the great outdoors, particularly through hunting and fishing, but his true love was riding motorcycles. Tim cherished the freedom of the open road, often riding his Harley Davidson to various bike rallies and enjoying the camaraderie at Bike Weeks.A devoted believer, Tim was a valued member of Northside Baptist Church. His faith and commitment to his church were as deep as his love for his family.Tim will be remembered for his unwavering work ethic, his unwavering faith, and the joy he brought to everyone around him. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his father, Tim was also preceded in death by his son, Timothy Leroy Atcheson, Jr.
Tim is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 48 years, Cindy Cooper Atcheson; daughter and son-in-law, Emma and Daniel Arnold; one granddaughter arriving this August; his mother, Mary Alice Holland Atcheson; siblings: Denise (Buddy) Bentley, Craig (Amy) Atcheson, and Travis (Violet) Atcheson; mother-in-law, Ruth Cooper; brother-in-law, Todd (June) Cooper; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Sunday, June 15, 2025 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
The funeral service will be held on Monday, June 16, 2025 at 11:00 am in Sam Clark Chapel with Pastor Shad Smith officiating. Music will be rendered by Angie Laver and Tony Harris.
Interment will follow in Dallas Memory Gardens with Daniel Arnold, Jacob Cooper, Seth Atcheson, Jon Lindsey, Terry Freeman, Mark Holland, Allen Clay, and Todd Cooper serving as Pallbearers.
