Thora Jean Hart

Thora Jean Kaleieha Hart passed away on March 19, 2024. She was born on January 8, 1945 to the late Thor and Golden Jean Steinhauer in Honolulu, Hawaii. Thora worked as a bookkeeper and limousine tour driver for the first 15 years of her career, then trained cats and dogs for 25 years in the movie industry. One of her dearest and most enjoyable activities was going to dog and cat shows. Thora also lovingly bred British Shorthairs in her cattery called Earendil British Shorthairs, where she went on to win national award-winning champion cats and blessed many lives with their own home companions. Thora lived a remarkable life and will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, Thora is preceded in death by her loving husband, Scott Emmett Hart and her sister, Patty Steinhauer.

She is survived by her daughters, Kim Lewis of Kaneohe, Hawaii, and Misty Martin of Dallas, Georgia; two grandchildren, Jason Lewis and Jade Lewis; and close family friends, Lori Meredith of Dallas, Georgia, and Mallory Gish of Prescott, Arizona.

A private memorial service for Mrs. Thora will be held at a later date.
