Theresa Owens

Theresa Michelle Owens, 57, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 10, 2025. Born in Atlanta, Georgia, Michelle was a shining light to all who knew her, remembered for her unwavering faith and kindness. A devoted member of Reliant Church, she cherished her relationship with Christ and dedicated her life to nurturing the spiritual growth of her community.

Michelle will be remembered for her warm spirit and loving nature. She never met a stranger and found joy in caring for little ones in the church nursery, where her passion for children shone brightly. A remarkable example of strength and resilience, she celebrated 20 years of sobriety and inspired many through her journey.

She was preceded in death by her father, Harold D. Everhart.

Michelle is survived by her loving husband, Patrick "Sean" Owens; her mother, Chrystal Everhart; three sons, Jacob Owens, Brady Owens, and Hayden Norris; sisters, Marcia (Gary) Cooke and Debra (Chuck) Slagle; her nephew, Brett (Terri) Slagle; her niece, Rachel (Will) Slade; and a large extended family and many dear friends. Her loyal companions, Diesel the dog and Oreo the cat, will also miss her dearly.

Her legacy of love and compassion will forever be remembered, and those who knew her can take comfort in the words, "You are my sunshine."
