Mr. Teddy Harris, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 12, 2026, at the age of 75. Teddy was born on August 11, 1950, in Dallas, Georgia, to the late Vernoy and Frances Harris.
Teddy was a Godly man with a kind soul who had an amazing sense of humor and a caring nature. He had a deep love for the outdoors, often spending his time hunting in the woods or tending to his garden. He also enjoyed collecting guns and knives, a passion that showcased his adventurous spirit. Above all, Teddy was a steadfast man of faith, preaching at several local churches throughout the years, including McFall Baptist Church, Macedonia Baptist Church, Rolling Hills Baptist Church, and Rock Baptist Church.
Teddy was married to the love of his life, Sharon, for 48 wonderful years until her passing. He was immensely proud of his family and loved them dearly. Teddy is leaving behind his daughters, Shay (Adam) Beavers and Lisa Harris. His grandchildren are Ryleigh (Hunter) Gray, Cole (Korie) Harris, Cason (Bethany) Williamson, Jake (Abby) Williamson, Gracie (Blake) Sutton, Canaan Dudley, Bryson Beavers, and Hudson Beavers. He is also survived by his sister, Sarah Bales.
A visitation will take place at Clark Funeral Home on May 18, 2026, starting at 10:00 a.m. This will be followed by a funeral service at Sam Clark Chapel at noon, Pastor Matthew Smith will officiate. There will then be a graveside service at Peaceful Meadows Memorial Cemetery, where Teddy will be laid to rest. Rev. G.R. Graves will officiate this. His grandsons, Hunter Gray, Cole Harris, Cason Williamson, Jake Williamson, Blake Sutton, Canaan Dudley, Bryson Beavers, and Hudson Beavers will serve as pallbearers.
Let's gather to remember the joy he brought into our lives and the love he shared with all of us. Teddy will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
