Mrs. Sybil Walls Ingram passed away peacefully on February 9, 2026, just a day shy of her 83rd birthday. Sybil was born on February 10, 1943, in Anniston, Alabama, to the late Edsil and Gaynell Walls. She brightened the lives of all who knew her with her sweet spirit and unwavering faith.
Sybil was a creative soul who loved to sew and craft. Christmas was her favorite time of year, and she enjoyed decorating every room. Sybil was known as a prayer warrior, and she found great joy and community in her church. She cherished her time at Grace Baptist Church, where she found community and purpose for her gifts. Her generous nature shone through in the countless cards she sent to friends and family, always reminding them that they were in her thoughts and prayers.
Along with her parents and husband, Joseph Lee Ingram, whom she was married to for 45 wonderful years, Sybil was preceded in death by her sisters, Myralyn Walls Sams and Peggy Walls Reeves.
Sybil is survived by her daughters, Peggy (Robert) Gorhum, Anissa (Fletcher) Gadsden, and Stephanie (David) Walker. She was a proud grandmother to Charley (Dustin) Landry, Tyler Canaris, Courtney Walker, Elizabeth (Scott) Gordon, Ashley Clinton, Alex Gorhum, Corey "Bud" (Kayla) Walker, and William Gadsden. She also leaves behind her dear sister-in-law, Kim Ingram, and many more family members and friends who will remember her fondly.
To celebrate her life, a funeral service will be held at the Sam Clark Chapel on February 21, 2026, at 11:00 AM with Pastor Randy Farwell and Pastor Thomas Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Edgemont Cemetery. Friends are invited to pay their respects during the visitation at Clark Funeral Home on February 20, 2026, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
While we mourn her loss, we also celebrate the unforgettable legacy that Sybil leaves behind. Her love, creativity, and kindness will continue to inspire us. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered in our hearts.
