It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Susan Montine Taylor, beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, who died on Sunday, October 26, 2025. Born on August 15, 1956, in Marietta, GA, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Edna Newberry. Susan's warmth and kindness left an indelible mark on everyone who crossed her path, and she joyfully shared the love of her Lord and Savior with anyone she spoke with.
Susan was a devoted homemaker who dedicated her life to her family. Her love for her husband, Phil Taylor, and her daughters, Erin Whigham and Lindsey Gossett, was a shining example of unconditional love. Susan cherished every moment spent with her family, creating memories that will forever be held dear in their hearts.
A caring and loving person, Susan had a passion for people that was evident to all who knew her. She particularly enjoyed baking and relished the joyful beach trips to the Florida Gulf that brought her family together. Her infectious spirit extended beyond her family, as she was dedicated to serving the youth at her church, where her love and compassion for others inspired countless young lives.
Susan is survived by her loving husband, Phil Taylor; her daughters, Erin Whigham and her husband Joel, and Lindsey Gossett and her husband Alex; her sister, Deborah McMichen and her husband James; and her grandchildren, Josiah, Elijah, Noah, and Landon, as well as several nieces and nephews.
