Stephen Lee Daniel

Mr. Stephen Lee Daniel, fondly known as Steve, passed away on October 23, 2026, at the age of 74. He was born on July 4, 1952, in Douglasville, Georgia, to the late Rev. Howard and Christine Daniel.

Steve dedicated his career to flooring sales and installation in the construction industry. Beyond his vocation, he was a man of many passions. Steve will be remembered for his unwavering love for University of Georgia football. A devoted Bulldogs fan, he wore his red and black with pride and stood behind his team through every season. For Steve, cheering on the Dawgs was more than a pastime-it was a passion that brought excitement and joy to his life. He also enjoyed hitting the golf course whenever he had the chance. Steve served in the
Georgia National Guard and was also a former commander of AMVETS Post 118, where he fostered camaraderie and service among veterans.

Steve's love for his grandchildren was at the heart of his life. He treasured their time together and took great pride in watching them grow and pursue their interests. Being there to cheer them on brought him happiness, and every game was another opportunity to show his love and support.

Steve is survived by his son Monty (Lee Ann) Daniel, and his cherished siblings, Randy (Debra) Daniel, Pam (Rev. Jeff) Childers, and Dianne (Rev. Champ) Agan. He was a proud grandfather to Kody (Sienna) Daniel, Kasen Daniel, Kooper Daniel, and Kinlee Daniel, and he also had a great-grandchild, Kash Daniel, who brought him much joy. Steve also leaves behind Lisa Daniel, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends.

To honor Steve a visitation will take place at Clark Funeral Home on October 30, 2026, starting at 12:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at Sam Clark Chapel at 2:00 PM wit Rev. Jeff Childers officiating. Following the service, Steve will be laid to rest at Sunrise Memorial Gardens with Mark Alcarez, Justin Daniel, Brad Childers, Charles Hubbard, Kody Daniel, Kasen Daniel, and Kooper Daniel serving as pallbearers.

Steve's legacy of kindness, love for family, and passion for sports will be remembered fondly by all who knew him. He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered. Go Dawgs!
