Shelia (Bailey) Banks

Shelia Diane Banks passed away on January 12th, 2023. She was born on July 24th, 1964. She was a lifelong homemaker, loving wife, and mother of two. She was an incredible nanny and Mimi of seven grandchildren. She was an avid animal lover. She enjoyed spending time with all her family. Her favorite holiday season was Christmas. Shelia's heart was made whole by giving to others. Although through trials and tribulations, her faith never wavered. She knew the Lord was her salvation and strength and rested in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Shelia is preceded in death by her father, Lewis Freeman "Peewee" Bailey, and grandmother, Gladys Bridges of Oxford, Alabama. She is survived by her mother, Mattie Lee Bailey of Oxford, Alabama; husband, Thomas Matthew Banks of Dallas, Georgia; son and daughter-in-law, Justin and Luvy Hughes; daughter and son-in-law, Heather and Brad Williams; brothers, Billy (Tina) Bailey and Chris (Stacy) Bailey of Oxford, Alabama; sister, Teresa Harris; grandchildren, Adrian, Ashtin, Morgan, Caden, Gavin, Hannah, and Grayson; Nieces and nephews, Emily Thomas, Adam Bailey, Reagan Payne, Anna Grace Bailey, Carson Harris, and Chance Bailey.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Monday, January 16, 2023, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Funeral Service for Shelia will be held at Clark Funeral Home on Monday, January 16, 2023, at 2:00 PM with Pastor Keith Graham officiating. Interment will follow at Melrose Hills Memorial Park, with family serving as pallbearers.
