Shaun Stamey McLendon

Mr. Shaun Stamey McLendon, age 56 of Dallas, Georgia, passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2026. He was born October 3, 1969 in Laurel, Maryland, son of Sylvia Jane Butler McLendon and the late Warren S. McLendon, Jr.

Shaun was proud of his Scottish heritage and had a deep sense of patriotism. He served in the United States Army from February 14, 1989 until his discharge on May 29, 1992, achieving the rank of E-2. He was a Legionnaire, having been a member of the American Legion Post III of Paulding County. Shaun was known for his talkative nature and his deep love for history.

He was a jack of all trades, being an auto mechanic and welder, his hands were always busy. His favorite hobby was collecting sharp and pointy things, especially knives, swords and axes, and was a bass guitar player who enjoyed sharing his love of music with family and friends. Shaun was a member of the Calvary Church of God of Douglasville, Georgia.

He is survived by his wife, Alyson Langley McLendon; three sons, Ian Logan McLendon, William Dalton McLendon and Logan Neil Presley; and his mother, Sylvia Jane Butler McLendon.

The family will receive family and friends at Clark Funeral Home on Monday, April 13, 2026, from 5:00 to 6:00 PM. A memorial service will follow at 6:00 PM in the Sam Clark Chapel with Pastor Randy Locke officiating.
