Mr. Shaun Stamey McLendon, age 56 of Dallas, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, April 7, 2026. He was born on October 3, 1969, in Laurel, Maryland, the son of Sylvia Jane Butler McLendon and the late Warren S. McLendon, Jr.
Shaun was proud of his Scottish heritage and had a deep sense of patriotism. He served in the United States Army from February 14, 1989, until his discharge on May 29, 1992, achieving the rank of E-2. He was a Legionnaire and a member of the American Legion Post 111 of Paulding County. Shaun was known for his talkative nature and his deep love for history.
He was a jack of all trades, being an auto mechanic and welder; his hands were always busy. His favorite hobby was collecting sharp and pointy things, especially knives, swords, and axes, and he was a bass guitar player who enjoyed sharing his love of music with family and friends. Shaun was a member of the Calvary Church of God of Douglasville, Georgia.
He is survived by his wife, Alyson Langley McLendon; two sons, Ian Logan McLendon and William Dalton McLendon, and stepson Logan Neil Presley; and his mother, Sylvia Jane Butler McLendon.
