Sam "Buck" Lawter, age 49, of Douglasville, passed away on Saturday, June 2, 2007. He was born on September 15, 1957 in Spartanburg, S.C. He was a former police officer for 24 years with the Atlanta City Police Dept.
Surviving are his parents, Sam & Carolyn Lawter of Wellford, S.C. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 10, 2007, at 3:00pm, from the Lithia Springs Church of Christ. The body was cremated. Clark Funeral Home in Hiram, GA is in charge of arrangements. www.samclarkfuneralhome.com.
