Ruth Anne Walters, age 76, of Powder Springs, GA, passed away on Monday, November 9, 2020 at Wellstar Paulding Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 12, 1944 in Cartersville, GA, to her late parents; James Austin Martin Sr. and Alice Louise Turner. Ruth worked as a homemaker and was a member of Grace Trinity Church. Mrs. Walters was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend who will be dearly missed. In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her two sons; Marvin Glenn Walters, Gregory J. Walters and three brothers; James Austin Martin Jr., Robert “Bobby” Fowler Martin, and Thomas Eugene Martin.
Mrs. Walters is survived by her loving husband, Marvin Walters of Powder Springs, GA, children; Jeffrey Walter and his wife, Carla of Kansas, Teina Faircloth of Temple, GA, sister, Mary Ellen Haynes of Dallas, GA, grandchildren; Rachel Everett, Rebecca Everett, great grandchildren; Gatlin and Brittney and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Walters will be held on Friday, November 13, 2020 at 2:00 PM from the Clark Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Dennis Rich and Sister Patricia Widner officiating. Interment will follow at Peaceful Meadows Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, November 13, 2020 from 11:00 AM until the service begins at 2:00 PM.
The family would like to extend their love and appreciation to everyone who will not be able to attend the service in person due to the states Covid-19 restrictions (no more than 50 people inside the funeral home at one time). If attending the visitation or service, the staff of Clark Funeral Home highly recommends that a face mask be worn and that social distancing is practiced to help prevent the spreading of any possible illnesses and to help keep visitors, friends and family members of Mrs. Walters safe.
