Mrs. Ruby "Jean" Waller, age 74 of Dallas, Georgia, passed away Thursday, November 6, 2025. She was born April 11, 1951, in Lithia Springs, Georgia, daughter of the late Jack Hollis and the late Ruby Gilstrap Watts.
For over 30 years, she was a hostess for Old Fashion Foods and was of the Baptist faith. Her favorite hobbies were spending time with family, taking pictures and painting. Her greatest joy came from watching her grandchildren play sports and visiting Cocoa Beach, Florida. She had a passion for cooking for her family who loved her homemade biscuits and world renouned Thanksgiving dressing. Jean loved watching the Falcons, Braves and Atlanta United teams.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Waller; four sisters, Thelma Brown, Jackie Edwards, Glenda Hollis and Beverly Holland; and four brothers, Billy Hollis, Doug Hollis, Harry Hollis and Paul Hollis.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Mark Thomas; son and daughter-in-law, Jay and Linda Dentmon; four grandchildren, Cody Dentmon, Alexandria Thomas, Kyle Dentmon and Jade Thomas; two great-grandchildren, Haven Jean Dentmon and David Birkhead.
The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Sunday, November 9, 2025, from 9:00am until 11:00am. A funeral service will follow at 11:00am in the Sam Clark Chapel with Rev. Steve Sherrod officiating. Interment service will follow in Sunrise Gardens of Memories of Douglasville.
