Emblem

Roy "Glenn" O'Neal passed away after a sudden illness that came upon quickly on Monday, March 25, 2024. He was born on March 5, 1954, a son of the late George "Buster" O'Neal and Florence Harris Hammrick in McDonough, Georgia.

Glenn was a loving husband, a caring father, but most of all an outstanding Paw Paw. Glenn showed an unconditional love for his family and for his country. His passion for his country long proceeded his time serving in the Army and he would put his family above anything else. He was an extremely talented carpenter and had a heart to build for Christ. He loved reading his Bible and blasting his old Southern Gospel hymnals. He had a profound impact on both his family and his friends, but his wife, Janis, and his daughter, Christine, were his world. His joy was coaching and watching Christine play softball for years and her fulfill that passion through college. His heart became complete when his grandson, Slade, was born. There was absolutely nothing he wouldn't do for him.

In addition to his parents, Glenn is preceded in death by a sister, Cheryl Lowe and a brother, David O'Neal.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Janis Martin O'Neal; two daughters, Christine Marie King (Cody), and Katie O'Neal Clark; a son, Shennandoah Amann; a brother, George O'Neal; and a grandson, Slade Boone King along with other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Thursday, April 04, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Memorial Service for Glenn will be held at Clark Funeral Home on Thursday, April 4, 2024, at 6:00 PM with Pastor Dwayne Hewett officiating.
