Robin Camp Darnell, beloved daughter, sister, mother, and grandmother, left us on July 1, 2026, at the age of 62. Born on August 18, 1963, in Rome, Georgia, Robin lit up the lives of all who knew her with her free spirit, quick wit, and infectious laughter. She had a way of finding the humor in almost anything, and a good sense of humor that could turn any ordinary moment into a memory worth telling.
A woman of many passions, Robin was known for her free spirit and creative flair. Her artistic talents were reflected in her craft projects, which brought joy to her family and friends.
Those who knew Robin were familiar with her prized possession-her striking red Mustang. Just the sight of it signaled her arrival, a symbol of her vivacious personality. She was a lover of music, particularly the tunes of Alan Jackson, and enjoyed the occasional trip to the casino, where she never turned down a chance to try her luck in the gas station "ding ding" machines. She also loved sharing laughter and good times with family and friends at karaoke nights, where she preferred to enjoy the spotlight from the audience.
Above all, Robin loved her family. She had a big heart, and those who were lucky enough to experience her love knew there was nothing she wouldn't do for them. Her home was a sanctuary for her daughters' friends, filled with laughter and memories. While she could be a bit impatient in certain situations, it only emphasized her desire for meaningful connections and lively experiences.
Robin leaves behind her cherished daughters, Christian "Christi" Smith and Samantha "Nikki" Irving; her father, Otis B. Camp Jr. and mother, Susan Foster Camp; her sisters by heart and choice, Judy Martin and Alisha Hooper; her uncle, Dutch Foster; and her beloved grandchildren, Kamrin, Hayleigh, Hayden, Jaxon "BB," Justus, and Kingston, who brought her immense joy and pride.
Services will be held privately with her family and friends. Robin will be laid to rest at Peaceful Meadows Memorial Cemetery in Dallas, Georgia. Serving as pallbearers will be Joel Scoggins, Matt Scoggins, Casey Scoggins, Josh Green, Michael Hooper, and Shane Kirk.
Robin Camp Darnell, you will be deeply missed. Thank you for sharing your light with us. We will carry your love and spirit in our hearts forever.
