Robert Milam

Robert Charles Milam passed away peacefully on January 31, 2024, at the age of 94. Robert was born on October 6, 1929, in Atlanta, Georgia, to the late William Dewitt and Opal Williams Milam. Robert served his country in the Army, during the Korean War, demonstrating his unwavering patriotism and valor. After his service, Robert attended West Georgia College where he made the football team. He also began his successful 45 year career as a Sales Manager with Lee Motor Company. He was also a founding member of the Gordon Road Baptist Church in Mableton, Georgia. In Robert's spare time he enjoyed the outdoors. He loved working outside, tending to his farm, going on camping trips and cooking.


In addition to his parents, Robert is also preceded in death by his wife of 52 years and the mother of his children, Virginia "Ginny" Milam; his second wife, Elyvan Mae Milam; his brother, LeRoy Milam; and his sisters, Louise Lee, Sybil Ragan, and Irma Milam.


Robert is survived by his son, Chris (Sandra) Milam; daughters, Robbie (Doug) Donehoo, and Susan (Sanford) Falkner; siblings, Barbara Milam, Patsy Milam, and George Milam; grandchildren: Jennifer (Gabe) Everson, Jill (Kyle) Brock, Jason Milam (and his fiancée, Dana Collins), Ashley Milam, Savannah (Brad) Stamper, Stephanie (Clint) Albertson, Mitchell Falkner, and Victoria Falkner; great-grandchildren: Brooks, Skyler, Knox, Colton, Raelynn, and Sadie; his step-children, Larry (Cheryl) Henson, Latha (Melvin) Shore, Les Henson, and Lisa (Steve) Thomas; a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.


The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Sunday, February 4, 2024, from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM.

The Funeral Service for Robert will be held in the Clark Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, February 4, 2024 at 3:00 PM, with Minister Mike Brooks officiating.


Robert will be laid to rest with military funeral honors at Paulding Memorial Gardens in Hiram, Georgia, with Sid Lee, Carl Mauldin, Billy Milam, John Duncan, Steve Thomas and Clint Albertson serving as Pallbearers.
