It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Robert Allen Ferris (Bob), beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, who left this world peacefully on September 12, 2025, at the age of 77. Born on October 27, 1947, in Darby, Pennsylvania, Bob spent his life serving others, first honorably in the Army (Vietnam), and then as a dedicated member of the real estate industry, where he established himself as a trusted figure in the community including service as the Civil Service Commissioner in his hometown of Yeadon, Pennsylvania. Robert was the son of the late Dillwyn and Catherine Ferris.
Bob was a proud veteran who valued duty and service, traits that he carried into every aspect of his life. His commitment to family was unparalleled; he leaves behind his loving wife of 56 years, Linda Lee Ferris, his cherished children, Deborah Anne Ferris and Robert Allen Ferris, Jr. along with his daughter-in-law, Julie Alfriend Ferris. Grandfather to his dear grandson, Robert Allen Ferris, III, and granddaughter, Kathryn Coleman Ferris, Bob's legacy will live on through them, as they carry forward the values he instilled and the love he shared.
An avid lover of the outdoors, Bob found great joy in hunting and fishing, activities that brought him peace and allowed him to create lasting memories with friends and family.
In honor of his wishes, he will be laid to rest through cremation via a private service.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) or the American Legion in Bob's name. He believed in the importance of giving back and would have appreciated the support to continue helping others who have served our Country.
Bob will be dearly missed but fondly remembered for his love, laughter, and the wonderful life he led.
