Richard "Bug" Moody

April 19, 1938 — February 27, 2024

Richard Arlyn Moody, affectionately called "Bug" by many of his family and friends, passed away on February 27, 2024, at the age of 85.  He was born in Dallas, Georgia on April 19, 1938, the son of the late Willard and Myrtle Hulsey Moody. He was known for his generosity, always carrying hard candies to share with everyone he met, earning him the endearing nickname "Candy Man."

In addition to his parents, Bug was also preceded in death by his loving wife, Betty Jo Williams Moody; their twin sons, Terry and Jerry Moody; his brothers: Ed Moody, Bobby Moody, Jesse Moody and Butch Moody; his sisters: Polly Wright and Margaret Carroll.
