Rhonda Denise Lankford passed away on Monday, April 1, 2024 surrounded by family. She was born on October 4, 1959, a daughter of Donald Broome and Evelyn Wills Milam in Atlanta, Georgia.
Denise, was a proud Georgia Tech fan. She was known as her family photographer and videographer. She adored her grandchildren who lovingly called her "maw maw" and was always there to offer her unwavering support and love. Her warm and welcoming nature made her a friend to all, and her infectious laugh brightened the lives of those around her. She was a source of strength and comfort to her family, always putting the needs of others before her own. She was a great wife, mother and mawmaw.
Denise is preceded in death by her father, Donald Broome; and a brother, Denny Broome. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Joey Lankford; two daughters, Beverly (Andrew) Combs, Donna (Chris) Freeman; her mother, Evelyn Wills Milam; two sisters, Sheryl (Ernie) Cauthen, and Alicia Head; four grandchildren,Aliyah Combs, Landon Freeman, Emma Freeman, and AJ Combs; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Memorial Service for Denise will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, April 6, 2024 at Faith Community Church, 574 Industrial Way N., Dallas, Georgia 30132, with Pastor Chris Freeman officiating.
