He is preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife, his brother and sister-in-law, Jim & Diane Luderman, his daughter Susan J. Luderman, and his granddaughter Ceranity Coulter.

He is survived by his most adored sister, Sandra (Kenny) Rodocker, and brother, Thomas (Sue) Luderman. Gary retired as a Lutheran minister of the Missouri Synod. He always had a quick wit, a joke to make you laugh, and what he called a head full of useless encyclopedia knowledge. He made friends wherever he went. He loved talking to people and never knew a stranger. He cared for his beloved wife, Karen, until 5 days before their 58th wedding anniversary. They always held hands, kissed, and said they loved each other, like a couple of teenagers. He loved God, his wife and family very deeply.

Viewing will be at St. John's Lutheran Church, 9088 Openlander Rd, Sherwood, Ohio on Sunday, March 8, 2026 from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm, followed by a service beginning at 3pm, officiated by Pastor Eric Moquin.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church, Sherwood, Ohio.

Oh, good and faithful servant of the Lord, your work is done. You have served your God, and cared for His flock, as a most obedient shepherd. It is time to lay down your staff and rest your weary head. Your God and Savior has called you home. Rest well.
