Phillip Russell Wheeler

Mr. Phillip Russell Wheeler, age 60, of Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia, passed away on January 21, 2026. Born on September 10, 1965, Phillip was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Cindy, for the past 25 years, and a proud father to his two daughters, Abbigale and Isabella.

Phillip was known for his hard work and dedication as a certified plumber and retired mandated peace officer. For many years, he served as a correctional officer at Hayes State Prison, where his strength and integrity made a lasting impact on those around him.

When he wasn't working, Phillip loved nothing more than spending time outdoors, enjoying camping and kayaking adventures with Cindy. Together, they explored the beautiful southeastern United States, creating cherished memories that family and friends will treasure.

Phillip is preceded in death by his mother, Sandy Swanson.

He is survived by his wife, Cindy Wheeler, and his daughters, Abbigale Wheeler and Isabella Wheeler.

In accordance with Phillips' wishes, he was cremated.
