Diane Myers

After a long battle, Diane Myers passed away peacefully on Friday, May 1, 2026. She was born on May 7, 1946, Daughter of the late Jack and Rosalee Seymour Jessel in Knoxville,Tennessee.

For over 50 years she worked as a registered nurse specializing in pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology. Diane enjoyed fishing, bird watching, and cheering on her beloved VOLS, she loved her church family and she never missed a Grammy day. Diane loved Jesus deeply and cheerfully served everyone around her. Her greatest joy was time spent with her husband, daughter and grandchildren.

Diane is survived by her loving husband of almost 27 years, Ben Myers; her only child, Emily Diane (Jason) Shipp; 7 grandchildren, Abigail Diane (Aaron) Simpson, Lillian Joan Shipp, Jack Andrew Shipp, Whitney Warren, Elizabeth Warren, Kyle Huang, Claire Huang; and her sister by choice, Susan Miles.

The family will receive friends at Dallas First United Methodist Church on Tuesday, May 5th at 1p. A Celebration of Life for Diane will be held at Dallas First United Methodist Church on Tuesday, May 5th at 2p with Reverend Blake Trent officiating.

In lieu flowers,of Diane, a breast cancer survivor, would be most honored by donations to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
