Odalys Batista

Odalys Batista, age 60, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, in her Dallas, Georgia home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 6, 1963, in Havana, Cuba, to her parents Pedro Sixto Batista Cadiz and the late Milagros Hernandez Salazar.  Odalys left Cuba when she was a teenager and moved first to Miami, Florida and then to New York where she started her family. She later moved back to Miami and had a rewarding career as a Medical Assistant, caring for patients for close to 20 years.  

Odalys was always wearing a smile and radiating positivity, she was known for her giving spirit and her determination. If she put her mind to something she was going to accomplish it. She was a devoted Christian and took any chance she could to praise the Lord. Her presence touched the lives of many, leaving a lasting impact on those fortunate enough to have crossed paths with her. 

Odalys is survived by her loving father, Pedro Sixto Batista Cadiz; beloved daughters, Stephanie (David) Dividu, Jennifer Dufresne, Vanessa Dufresne; cherished grandchildren, Levi Dividu, Penelope Dividu, Olive Dividu, Victoria Mejia; her siblings Pedro Batista, Jacqueline Ortega, and Belkis Salazar, Mikeal Batista and of host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.  

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Friday, March 8, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 8, 2024, at 1:00 PM, from the Clark Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Leland Jones Officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Kennesaw Memorial Park in Marietta, Georgia. 

Though she may have left this earthly realm, Odalys Batista's spirit lives on in the hearts of those she touched. Let us honor her memory by carrying forward her legacy of compassion, kindness, and unwavering determination.
