Nellie "Katherine" Moore, born on July 21, 1943, in Atlanta, GA, to the late James and Georgia Moore. Katherine peacefully passed away on May 30, 2026. She was a beloved mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and great-grandmother who brought joy and laughter to all who knew her.
Katherine had a wonderful sense of humor; you could always count on her to be one of the funniest people in the room. A big fan of music, she adored Elvis more than anything else and loved taking in concerts with her family. Movies were another passion of hers, and her heart belonged to horror films, which she happily shared with those around her.
An avid homebody, Katherine cherished her time at home with her beloved pup, Axel. Shopping was another favorite pastime, and she was definitely a shoe-and-purse lady at heart.
Along with her parents, Katherine is preceded in death by her sister, Brenda Engelbird, and brother, Jimmy Moore.
Katherine is survived by her son, Stacy (Roxanne) Michael; her brother-in-law, Don Engelbird; her grandchildren, Jordan (Jonathan) Pulley and Mariah Michael; her great-grandchildren, Everett and Oliver Pulley; and her niece and nephews, Paris Plunkett, Chuck Powell, and Greg Powell.
We will celebrate Katherine's life at her funeral service on June 3, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the Sam Clark Chapel. Friends and family are invited to visit beginning at 12:00 PM at Clark Funeral Home with Father Barnabas "Chuck" Powell and Pastor Marc Dwggin officiating. Katherine will be laid to rest at Crest Lawn Memorial Park following the service with Jon Pulley, Ryan Lester, Ryan Plunkett, Greg Powell, Stacy Michael, and Loyld Carnes serving as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Katherine's name to Temple Methodist Church, P.O. Box 40, Temple, Georgia 30179 or St. Jude Children's Hospital .
