Marvin Raymond Kinsey, age 84, of Douglasville(Paulding Co.) passed away on Friday, November 27, 2009. He was born on December 19, 1924 in Chattanooga, TN to the late Arthur and Ethel Kinsey. Mr. Kinsey was an Army veteran of World War II. He was retired from Lockheed-Martin after 30 years of service and was a member of Cochran Ridge Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Daisy Bell Kinsey; a son, Terry Lee Kinsey of Powder Springs; daughter and son-in-law, Yvonne and Edward Silvey of Hiram; brothers and sisters-in-law, Leonard and Ivanette Kinsey of Dallas, Jimmy and Pat Kinsey of Lithia Springs, Winfred and Brenda Kinsey of White, GA and James and Carolyn Kinsey of Bremen; sisters and brothers-in-law, Ruth Pelfrey of Adairsville, Lois and Carlton Johnson of Dallas, Judy and Earl Chambers of Hiram, Nina and Jack Estep of Hiram and Carolyn Nalley of Hiram; a grandson, Steven Edward Silvey of Powder Springs; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 30, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. from Cochran Ridge Baptist Church with Rev. Rick Eaves officiating. Mr. Kinsey will lie in state at the church from 2:00 p.m. until the service time. The interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Clark Funeral Home, Hiram, GA, is in charge of arrangements.
