Marvin Beal Sr., age 79, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2025, at his home in Hiram, Georgia. He was born on January 14, 1946, to the late Earnest and Martha Beal in Atlanta, Georgia. Marvin was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, who touched the lives of everyone around him.
Marvin shared an incredible 61 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Joyce Beal. Their love and commitment to one another were truly inspiring. He was a dedicated family provider, co-owning J & M Drywall alongside his brother and best friend, Jimmy Beal. Marvin's heart was always in the right place, and he cherished both his family and his life's work.
Marvin was a charter member of Hiram First Baptist Church, and an ordained deacon. He was a devoted believer in his faith and a God-fearing man. He passionately supported numerous church missions, giving back to the community he loved. Those who knew him often spoke of his warm heart and unwavering faith.Marvin was a man who lived a simple life. When he wasn't working hard for his family, he enjoyed spending time outdoors. He had a special love for cutting grass and tended to his yard with utmost care, impressing neighbors with his meticulous landscaped home. He also loved his pup, Holly, who will miss him tremendously and loved to cheer on his Alabama Crimson Tide and the Atlanta Falcons.
Along with his parents Mavin was preceded in death by his brothers, Bob Beal, Jimmy Beal, Billy Ray, Cecil Beal; and sisters Gloria Huckaby, Margie Stewart, Sandra Motes, and Judy Margo.
Marvin is survived by his loving wife, Joyce; his son, Marvin V. (Anna) Beal Jr.; his daughter, Scarlett D. (Terry) Cogland; his grandchildren, Ryan (Kati) McClellan, Courtney (Dusty) Johnson, Kayleigh Beal, and Jamison Peyton; and his great-grandchildren, Lily Johnson, Rylee McClellan, Kinslee McClellan, Clare Johnson, Arielle Peyton, and Ayana Peyton. He is also survived by his brother, Jerry (Shelby) Beal.
Marvins family will welcome friends and relatives to Clark Funeral Home on Saturday, January 3, 2026 from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM for visitation. He will lay in state on Sunday, January 4, 2026 at Hiram First Baptist Church from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM. A funeral service for Marvin will take place Sunday January 4, 2026 at 2:00 at Hiram First Baptist Church with Brother Alan Davis, Pastor Joe Holcomb, and Brother Tom Payne officiating. Marvin will be laid to rest at Sweetwater Memorial Park
Marvin V. Beal Sr. will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his legacy of love and faith will carry on in the hearts of his family and friends.
